A group of young women from Ohr Yisraeli Tirat Carmel recently dedicated their time to bringing comfort and happiness to children whose families have been evacuated from Israel’s northern communities.
During a day filled with warmth and compassion, the young women visited the children and organised a variety of creative activities, including arts and crafts, games, and interactive play. Their goal was simple but powerful: to give these children a moment of relief and joy during an otherwise uncertain and stressful time.
For many of the children, daily life has been disrupted by ongoing security concerns and the constant reality of sirens. Yet for a few precious hours, those worries were set aside. Laughter filled the room as the children painted, played games, and connected with their visitors, enjoying the freedom to simply be children again.
The young women from Ohr Yisraeli approached the day with remarkable sensitivity and care, ensuring that every child felt seen, supported, and included. Their presence brought comfort and a sense of normalcy to children who have faced significant upheaval in their young lives.
This initiative reflects the core values of Migdal Ohr – building a community where young people support and uplift one another. Even in challenging times, acts of kindness and solidarity remind us that hope continues to grow.
Through small but meaningful gestures, the young women showed that even during difficult periods, no child stands alone. Together, we continue to stand strong.
