Last week, nearly 1,000 young women from all corners of Israel gathered in Jerusalem for an unforgettable Ohr Yisraeli Shabbaton! This special weekend retreat brought together girls from Migdal Ohr’s expansive youth movement, which spans over 160 branches across the country, from the northernmost towns to the southern deserts of Israel.

The atmosphere was one of excitement, inspiration, and deep connection as teens from diverse backgrounds met peers from across the country. They discussed their personal feelings and shared experiences during this challenging time of conflict in Israel. In heartfelt discussions, they explored how to develop resilience, manage fear, and rise above anxiety in the face of uncertainty.

Throughout the weekend, these young women were treated to not only uplifting discussions but also a well-deserved break. The mentors, who play a vital role in guiding these girls, planned fun-filled days of swimming and activities that left them feeling refreshed, energised, and pampered. Staying at a hotel with delicious buffets and special amenities was a rare and much-appreciated luxury for many of the girls. They expressed their deep gratitude for the opportunity to enjoy a real vacation during what has been a challenging summer.

The event was a nationwide effort, with buses arriving from (add bullets not sunflowers):
