This month children of Migdal Ohr marked Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Memorial Day, with a poignant ceremony honouring the memory of the 6 million Jews whose lives were tragically taken during the Holocaust. Each student participated in a special tribute, lighting candles and reciting prayers, reinforcing the message of remembrance and resilience.
In their heartfelt expressions, the children also presented poems and songs that echoed the importance of never forgetting the past while committing to building a future filled with hope and peace. The ceremony served not only as a memorial but also as an educational experience, emphasising the lessons learned from one of history’s darkest times.
Through these acts of remembrance, the Migdal Ohr community continues to demonstrate the strength of unity and the enduring spirit of the Jewish people. We vow never to forget, to educate future generations, and to uphold the values of tolerance and kindness against the forces of hate and prejudice.
