The Power of Joy: motivational speaker, Sarit Vogel, shares the secret of Simcha

What better way to celebrate International Women’s Day than by coming together to support a worthy cause and enjoy some delicious cocktails?

That’s exactly what the women’s committee led by Alexandra Fittoussi and Amanda Ibgui did when they hosted 30 women from Chelsea’s French community for a Margarita party in aid of the Afikei Ohr Girls’ Youth Village.

The event was a celebration of women and the power of community to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Our guest speaker, Sarit Vogel, shared with us the secrets of Simcha and the importance of finding joy in our lives. Her message was both inspiring and uplifting, reminding us of the power of positivity and kindness to transform the world around us.

The event was in aid of the Afikei Ohr Girls’ Youth Village, a groundbreaking project in Israel that provides support and education for girls at risk. As Amit Fraser, the executive director of Migdal Ohr, reminded us in her speech, Migdal Ohr has many different projects that help children at risk from all types of backgrounds, ensuring that they all have a chance for a brighter future.

“Migdal Ohr has many different projects helping children at risk from all types of backgrounds, ensuring they all have a chance for a brighter future. As women, we have the power to make a difference by educating our children on the importance of kindness and being charitable. “

The Margarita party was a wonderful celebration of the power of women and community, and a reminder of the importance of coming together to support causes that make a difference. It was an evening of joy, laughter, and generosity, and a testament to the incredible work of organizations like Migdal Ohr that strive to make the world a better place.

Recognizing the plight of these families, Migdal Ohr launched a Passover campaign to provide food parcels to those in need. The campaign aimed to distribute 40,000 parcels to families in Israel.

To achieve this ambitious goal, we organized a food packaging day, which brought together hundreds of volunteers, including Rabbi Grossman and Amit Fraser, the Executive Director of Migdal Ohr UK, to pack these parcels full of love, happiness and joy. The event was a massive undertaking, requiring careful planning, coordination, and teamwork. However, the spirit of camaraderie and shared purpose was palpable, as volunteers of all ages and backgrounds worked tirelessly to sort, assemble, and label the parcels.

Thanks to the support of many donors, the Passover campaign of Migdal Ohr was a resounding success, delivering 40,000 food parcels to families in need. The impact of this initiative goes beyond the provision of material goods, as it sends a message of solidarity and compassion to those who may feel forgotten. The thousands of families who had a wonderful Seder might are a testament to the transformative power of collective action and shared values.

Thank you to all our donors for giving a chance to thousands of families to celebrate Passover with love, dignity and festive meals on the holiday table.
