Standing Strong: A Beacon of Hope and Support for All

In the face of war and welfare crises, Migdal Ohr’s presence and unyielding dedication is a testament to the resilience and unity of our steadfast community, especially during the most challenging of circumstances. We continue to stand as a beacon of hope and support for all those we support and beyond.

Consider the unimaginable situation of being forced to leave your home, possibly even separated from your family and possessions, all because of merciless, brutal violence, and facing a future filled with uncertainty and fear. This distressing scenario is, sadly, a harsh reality for thousands in Israel. According to the Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs, a staggering 26,000 individuals have been forced to evacuate and relocate in safer areas across the country. The experiences of these evacuees are beyond comprehension, as they grapple with the loss of their homes, livelihoods, and, most heartbreakingly, their loved ones.

As the nation’s largest welfare charity, our mission remains unwavering, to provide essential support to over 10,000+ children in need, especially during the turmoil of war. However, during this unpredictable and volatile time, we stand together to help all our vulnerable brothers and sisters in need, with as much support as they need – including relocating over 2,000+ people from decimated Kibbutzim and towns in the South, providing shelter, food, transportation, and grief counselling.

During these challenging times, we witness widespread distress, hopelessness, and a palpable sense of uncertainty, both within Israel and across the globe. We are attuned to the harrowing personal and collective sorrow that envelops our nation and stand whole-heartedly in solidarity with our brave soldiers, praying for peace and the safe return of all of Am Israel. Migdal Ohr continues their promise and commitment to stand by all its people hand-in-hand making a difference until they are safe and have the necessary support.
