Migdal Ohr UK’s Young Professionals (YP) community hosted its largest-ever Purim celebration this year, welcoming over 120 guests to a spectacular Gatsby-themed evening filled with energy, unity, and purpose.

Despite ongoing security challenges affecting Jewish communities worldwide, the night stood as a powerful testament to resilience, joy, and solidarity. Guests arrived in stunning 1920s-inspired Gatsby attire, transforming the venue into a glittering celebration of Jewish pride and festive spirit.

The evening opened with a warm and inspiring address from Amit Fraser, CEO of Migdal Ohr Europe, who spoke about the mitzvah of celebrating Purim with joy and unity. He highlighted the deeper meaning of the festival — coming together in strength despite adversity — and underscored the critical importance of Migdal Ohr’s work supporting Israel’s most vulnerable children.

Hannah Benisty, Chair of the Migdal Ohr UK Young Professionals Committee, also welcomed guests and shared powerful insights into the charity’s mission. She reminded attendees that while Purim is a night of celebration, it is also about responsibility, ensuring that at-risk and orphaned children are supported, protected, and given the opportunity to thrive.

The atmosphere was electric throughout the night, with vibrant Israeli music setting the tone for celebration and connection. Entertainment was led by Duncan Burton, whose dynamic DJ set kept the dance floor full, alongside the exceptional saxophonist Leah, whose live performance added an unforgettable touch of glamour and energy.

More than just a party, the event carried a meaningful purpose. All proceeds from the evening will go directly toward supporting the at-risk and orphaned children of Migdal Ohr, helping provide them with safe homes, education, and the stability they need to build brighter futures.

The record-breaking turnout reflects the strength and growth of Migdal Ohr UK’s Young Professional community — a generation committed not only to celebrating together, but to standing together for Israel’s most vulnerable children.

As the music played late into the night and guests celebrated the spirit of Purim in true Gatsby style, one message rang clear: joy, unity, and responsibility remain at the heart of Migdal Ohr’s mission.
