In an inspiring achievement, the fourth-grade students from the Meirim programme at Machshava School reached a remarkable milestone. This success was celebrated with a special prize – an unforgettable meeting with Rabbi Grossman himself.
Building Values and Personal Growth
Led by teacher Sigal Mengistu and Rabbi Ariel Peretz, the Meirim programme emphasises fostering personal growth through the core values of Derech Eretz. These include mutual assistance, personal responsibility, and a dedication to academic excellence. Students earn points through active participation in lessons, listening attentively, raising their hands, being well-prepared for class, respecting their peers, and completing homework.
“Good deeds are never erased,” said teacher Sigal Mengistu. “Every good deed we do is eternal and becomes part of our merits.”
An Inspirational Reward
Reaching their ambitious point goal earned the students an extraordinary reward: an inspiring meeting with Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid Grossman. During this special event, the students were tested by Rabbi Grossman on halacha and Torah. The gathering was further enriched by the presence of Migdal Ohr CEO Michael Leibovitz and Rabbi Shneor Zalman Grossman, the Mashpiah of Migdal Ohr’s Shevet Levi.
Teacher Mengistu and Rabbi Peretz commended the students, saying, “The students have proven that with hard work and cooperation, remarkable achievements can be reached.”
Fostering Excellence and Jewish Values
Migdal Ohr continues to lead the way in innovative educational programs rooted in Jewish values, personal development, and academic excellence. The success of the Meirim programme reflects the organization’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders who embody these principles.
