At Zoharim Youth Village, moments of meaning are woven into everyday life – and sometimes, they are felt most powerfully with every step forward.
This week, the boys of Zoharim took part in the village’s annual run in memory of fallen soldiers. More than a physical challenge, this is a deeply meaningful tradition that brings together remembrance, resilience, and unity.
As they ran side by side, the students carried with them the memory of those who gave everything in service of their country. Each step became an act of honour – a quiet but powerful expression of gratitude, respect, and connection.
For many of the boys at Zoharim, this experience holds a deeply personal significance. These are young people who have faced their own challenges, and who are working every day to rebuild their futures. The run offers them a moment to connect not only to the past, but also to something greater than themselves – a shared identity, a sense of belonging, and a source of pride.
It is in moments like these that the true spirit of Zoharim shines through. Not only remembering the past, but using it as a foundation to strengthen the present and build a better future.
