By living together under one roof in our Foster Family Programme, children, foster parents, and siblings form deep, trusting bonds. In this safe space, children learn essential life skills like communication, responsibility, and resilience. They grow in confidence, begin to dream again, and, most importantly, feel they belong. You can help us give these vulnerable children the home they rightly deserve.
Migdal Ohr’s Foster Family Programme – Mishpachtonim – is a transformative initiative that creates a true family-style home for children and teenagers who have faced neglect, abandonment, or the trauma of losing their parents.
Unlike traditional care systems that place children in boarding schools or large group homes, Migdal Ohr’s Foster Care model places up to 12 children with a full-time foster couple in a warm, family-like environment. These are our Mishpachton Family Dorms, loving homes on the Migdal Ohr campus.
In each home, the foster parents raise the children as their own – celebrating birthdays, sharing meals, helping with homework, and guiding them through the challenges of growing up. They provide practical care, emotional security, and consistency every child needs to heal and thrive.
The Support Every Child Needs
Our foster parents are never alone in their mission. A dedicated team supports them:
- Therapists: helping children process trauma and build resilience
- Teachers: keeping academics on track
- Recreational specialists: creating opportunities for joy, play, and creativity
Through this nurturing environment, the Foster Family Programme gives each child the chance to overcome their past and step into a brighter future – one where they are not defined by loss, but by love and opportunity.

Day Care and Kindergarten Centres
Migdal Ohr’s eight daycare centres provide a safe, loving environment for hundreds of orphaned and neglected children. Through expert care and early education, we provide the essential life skills and values needed for the best possible start in life.
Elementary Schools

Migdal Ohr’s high schools combine academic excellence with character building to prepare students for future success. A diverse range of extracurriculars and personalized guidance helps students discover their talents and gain confidence. We empower every student to develop the life skills and values needed to thrive as responsible adults.
School for Boys
Metivta provides an excellent education and mentorship for boys from underprivileged homes. Staff act as parental figures, helping students build confidence and life skills. This supportive environment ensures every student gains the tools needed to become a successful adult.
School for Girls
Orot B’Emek provides girls from disadvantaged backgrounds with strong STEM and Jewish studies. Students receive transportation and three daily meals alongside enrichment in music, drama, and nature. This vibrant environment empowers them to learn and thrive.

Our dedicated programmes for children with special needs provide a safe, nurturing environment tailored to their requirements. With the help of skilled specialists and a variety of learning approaches, we create opportunities that stimulate development and build confidence.
Our Cooking Up a Future culinary training programme also includes a cohort of special needs students, equipping them with skills for meaningful careers in the culinary arts and hospitality industry.
