On Tuesday the 10th of January Migdal Ohr UK hosted a “50 years of Light” dinner at Island Grill restaurant in London. Over 100 major donors attended this special event that was all about paying tribute to 50 years of Rabbi Grossman’s work raising thousands of children and impacting Israeli society.

The evening was hosted by Keith Fraser and consisted of some emotional films about the life-changing impact of saving Israeli children from poverty and isolation and raising them surrounded by warmth, encouragement, and love. On the night we heard a powerful speech by Issac Kakun, a Migdal Ohr alumni who shared his story of being an orphan and Rabbi Grossman was the one who saved his life from being in the streets.

Issac Kakun said: “ I have found purpose through my hardships and these values were instilled in me by this incredible organisation called Migdal Ohr “.

Rabbi Grossman in his speech addressed his gratitude for his supporters without whom none of his achievements would be possible. Without whom, 25,000 children who have graduated and gone on to lead would be in the streets, in prison, or possibly not alive.

Amit Fraser the Executive Director said in her farewell address:

“ This evening is all about gratitude and love and I want to thank each and every one of you who supported us and believed in our future and vision! None of this can be possible without you! So thank you “.
