Afikei Ohr Students Inspired by Renowned Artist Yifat Bezalel

Students from the Afikei Ohr Art Programme recently enjoyed a truly inspiring experience as they took part in a special workshop with acclaimed Israeli artist Yifat Bezalel.
Known for her distinctive layered drawings and emotional artistic style, Yifat shared insights into her creative process, encouraging students to explore imagination, identity, and storytelling through art. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Tate Liverpool, and the Venice Biennale.
During the workshop, students experimented with drawing techniques inspired by Yifat’s signature approach, layering images and ideas to create imaginative and expressive artworks of their own.
The session provided a rare opportunity for our young artists to learn directly from one of Israel’s leading contemporary creatives. More importantly, it encouraged them to think boldly, express themselves freely, and discover new possibilities through art.
