Migdal Ohr Europe Launches £1 Million Emergency Campaign to Expand Foster Family Care Programme for Israel’s Most Vulnerable Children “Every Child Deserves More Than Survival. They Deserve a Home. A Family. A Future.”
Migdal Ohr has announced the launch of its urgent European fundraising campaign, “A Home for Every Child. A Promise to Israel,” aimed at expanding its critically important Foster Care Family Programme (Mishpachtonim) for vulnerable and orphaned children across Israel.
As the ongoing war continues to impact families throughout the country, the number of children seeking refuge, safety, and emotional support has increased significantly. In response, Migdal Ohr is working urgently to expand residential capacity and therapeutic services to meet growing demand.
The organisation’s Foster Family Care Programme currently provides over 300 children with stable, family-style homes across five residential buildings. Each home is led by dedicated house parents who care for up to 12 children in a nurturing environment built on structure, security, and love.
From 21–22 June, Migdal Ohr Europe will launch a 36-hour matched-funding campaign with the goal of raising £1,000,000. Every donation made during the campaign will be doubled, helping provide vulnerable children with housing, emotional care, education, and life-changing support.
Amit Fraser, CEO Europe, said: “Every child deserves more than survival. They deserve love, dignity, safety, and the opportunity to dream again. Across Europe, we are calling on our donors, supporters, and communities to unite behind these vulnerable children and help us provide the homes and futures they so desperately need. Together, we can show Israel’s children they are not alone.”
The campaign highlights stories like Danielle’s a child who arrived at Migdal Ohr at nine years old after experiencing severe neglect and instability. Through the consistency and care of his foster family home, Danielle transformed from a frightened child struggling to trust others into a thriving young person with hope for the future. “Now I feel like I have a real family and a future,” Danielle shared. Funds raised through the campaign will help provide:
Safe, stable homes with caring adults
Daily meals and essential care
Education, tutoring, and mentoring
Therapy and emotional support
Structure, stability, and life skills training
