In Hebrew, we often wish parents “Harbeh Nachat,” meaning “a lot of pride!” This sentiment is especially fitting as we celebrate the incredible achievements of the boys and girls graduating from Migdal Ohr’s Machshava School.
These children have faced a year filled with unprecedented challenges. The outbreak of war on October 7th and the constant blare of sirens have disrupted their studies, adding stress and uncertainty to their complex lives. Many of these students live on campus with foster families, creating a sense of stability and belonging in a world that often feels chaotic. Others come from extremely low-income or immigrant families in the surrounding areas, where opportunities are scarce, and the future can seem daunting.
Despite these obstacles, the children of Machshava School have shown remarkable resilience. Their determination to succeed has been nothing short of inspiring. With your generous support, they have risen above the difficulties and continue their education with creativity, optimism, and an infectious excitement for what lies ahead.
As you look through these photos of the graduates, we hope you feel the immense pride that we do. Each child is a testament to the power of education, the strength of community, and the impact of your generosity. These are not just students; they are shining gems in the crown of Migdal Ohr, each one polished and prepared to face the future with confidence and hope.
Your support has provided these children with more than just an education; it has given them a foundation of love, stability, and the belief that they can achieve their dreams. Whether they aspire to be doctors, teachers, artists, or entrepreneurs, the seeds of their future success have been planted during their time at Machshava School. And as they graduate, they carry with them the knowledge, skills, and values that will guide them on their journey.
The pride we feel today is shared by all of us at Migdal Ohr, but it is also your pride. These children are your children. As they step into the next chapter of their lives, they do so with the confidence that comes from knowing they are cherished and supported by a global community that believes in their potential.
