In Hebrew, we often wish parents “Harbeh Nachat,” meaning “a lot of pride!” This sentiment is especially fitting as we celebrate the incredible achievements of the boys and girls graduating from Migdal Ohr’s Machshava School.
These children have faced a year filled with unprecedented challenges. The outbreak of war on October 7th and the constant blare of sirens have disrupted their studies, adding stress and uncertainty to their complex lives. Many of these students live on campus with foster families, creating a sense of stability and belonging in a world that often feels chaotic. Others come from extremely low-income or immigrant families in the surrounding areas, where opportunities are scarce, and the future can seem daunting.
Despite these obstacles, the children of Machshava School have shown remarkable resilience. Their determination to succeed has been nothing short of inspiring. With your generous support, they have risen above the difficulties and continue their education with creativity, optimism, and an infectious excitement for what lies ahead.
